Our History
Los Promotores Comunitarios was founded in 2005 through a grant from The California Endowment, administered by Proteus. When funding ended in 2010, the founders continued voluntarily, organizing free events, workshops, and community programs. From computer classes to building a community garden, food distribution, and partnerships with UC Davis, the organization has positively impacted hundreds of rural families. Today, over 35 active members continue to promote education, health, and sustainability in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley.
